Parkinson Lane Community Primary School
EARLY YEARS & FOUNDATION STAGE
Manager: Mr Matloob
Intent: Our ethos
The Early years at Parkinson Lane CP School maintains a bespoke and personalised curriculum which aims to address the pupil’s low entry point into Nursery through covering the seven areas of development and learning. Staff create a curriculum that is relevant to the children by providing them with “out of the ordinary” life experiences. The team are experienced and demonstrate a secure understanding of the curriculum, ensuring all pupils, including those with special educational needs and disadvantages, maximise their learning potential. Staff inspire, motivate and challenge pupils, enabling them to become successful and creative in their own unique way. Pupils are empowered to discover their voice and find a positive place in today’s society. The children are encouraged to make progress within their ability through first-hand experiences which develop their cultural capital. The team strive to create a positive working relationship between school, the community and children.
